Privacy Policy
Your data stays in Europe.
Not in California.
ShowUP was built because we got tired of booking tools that treat your meeting data as a product.
We don't. This page tells you exactly what we do — and don't do — with your information.

EU hosted
Your data never leaves European servers. Not once.

Runs on our own infrastructure. No AWS, no Google Cloud, no middlemen.

01 — Data collection
What we collect when you book
When you use ShowUP to book a meeting, we collect only what is strictly necessary to make that meeting happen. Nothing more.
- Your name and contact details you provide in the booking form
- Your email address — to send a confirmation and calendar invite
- Your phone number — to send an SMS confirmation (if you provide it)
- Meeting type, date and time — the actual booking details
- Your browser language — used only to show the page in your language
- Source of your booking (e.g. LinkedIn, direct link) — helps the host know where you came from
02 — What we don't do
The things we refuse to do
Most booking tools make money from your data. We make money from the software. That changes everything.
- We do not sell your data to anyone — ever
- We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics
- We do not use cookies (not even a cookie banner — because there's nothing to banner)
- We do not store your Google account data beyond your name and email
- We do not transfer your data outside the EU or EEA
- We do not send you marketing emails — the only email you get is your booking confirmation
03 — Storage
Where your data lives
ShowUP runs on self-hosted infrastructure based in the EU. Your booking data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on a server we control directly — not on AWS, not on Google Cloud, not on Azure.
This is a deliberate architectural choice. We wanted a system where we could look a customer in the eye and say: your data is on a machine in Europe, and only we touch it. So we built that.
04 — Retention
How long we keep your data
Booking records are retained for 24 months after your meeting date. This allows the host to keep a reasonable record of past meetings. After 24 months, your data is automatically and permanently deleted — no manual process, no risk of it being "forgotten" in a backup.
You can also request deletion at any time — see your rights below.
05 — Your rights
You are in control
Under GDPR, you have the following rights. We take all of them seriously and will respond within 30 days of any request.
📋 Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
✏️ Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate information
🗑️ Erasure — ask us to delete your data entirely
📦 Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
🚫 Objection — object to how we process your data
06 — Google sign-in
If you sign in with Google
Signing in with Google is optional — it simply pre-fills your name and email so you don't have to type them. We request only the minimum OAuth2 scopes: your name and email address.
We do not store your Google token, Google user ID, or any other Google account data. The moment your name and email are filled in, the Google session is done. We never read your calendar, contacts, or any other Google data.
07 — Contact
Talk to a human, not a form
Questions? Want your data deleted? Send us an email. A real person will read it.
